Women's Basic Handgun Safety & Responsibility

$325 per student

This course is a must for anyone who is thinking of buying a firearm or who lives in a household that has firearms. You will use both revolvers and semi-automatics in many different calibers and designs. We will teach you the laws concerning ownership, possession, and transportation of guns, as well as concealed carry permits.

We provide everything: all the guns, ammunition, and necessary equipment for the course. This class is a perfect way to decide what gun to buy. Teenagers are welcome if attending with an adult. TOPICS COVERED:

Gun Safety: The proper way to handle a handgun, load and unload a gun safely, and store a firearm in the home
Marksmanship: The proper way to hold a gun, align the sights, and press the trigger
Familiarization with Different Types of Handguns: Students will be able to shoot a variety of handguns in different calibers, both semi-automatics and revolvers
Handgun Maintenance: Disassembly, cleaning, and safe storage
Washington State Law: Ownership, possession, transportation, concealed carry permits

Required Equipment:

All equipment is provided. Please wear closed-toe shoes and long sleeves. A light jacket is highly recommended as it can be a bit chilly on the range. Think comfortable.

Why I took the Basic Handgun Safety class for Women. My hands were shaking with my first encounter with a .22 Revolver and I don't believe I even hit the target with the first 3 bullets I was allocated. I grew up with guns in the house and I was sternly taught to stay away from them.
