Deliberate Clearing

The majority of teams own shields and mirrors, but never train with them and never use them! Dynamic Clearing is not the answer for all situations. When time is the most important issue and innocent life is on the line, Dynamic Clearing is the answer. Otherwise, keep your team safe and SLOW down.

This course will teach the effective use of shields and mirrors in slow deliberate operations, when chemical agents and less-lethal are appropriate, how to use shields in medium speed warrants, multiple shield tactics, shield firing techniques, close combat with the shield, and much more.

This course is perfect for the new SWAT member or for the experienced member who wants to update his skills. It is also highly suggested for Team Leaders and Assistant Leaders as well as firearms instructors. Take some new information and skills back to your team and save officers lives.

Lecture and range content will be tailored to the audience, so as to fulfill the individual requirements.

Submachinegun with sling (low powered optics acceptable) Integral and handheld flashlight 200 rounds of ammunition (minimum) 3 magazines One ballistic shield per two men One SWAT mirror per two men Knee and elbow pads Hearing and eye protection Handgun w/ holster & extra magazines 200 rounds handgun ammunition Full gear, i.e. armor, helmet & gas mask
